For example, +50% elemental damage is the same as +50% fire, +50% cold and +50%.
"All damage" works the same, so +50% all damage is the same as +50% damage to all individual damage types (exept life leach damage).
Do not confuse it with the term "total damage modified by xy" since while the regular % damage bonuses (including "all damage") are additive, "total damage" is multiplicative that applies AFTER other bonuses. Racial damage bonuses like "+x% damage to humans/undead/whatever) are multiplicative too.
