- visit the supplier and manage to find out that none of the diamonds are from Canada.
- further research reveal same diamond listed on Brilliant Earth as Canadian diamond are also listed on other site as non-Canadian diamond and was sold for far more higher price by Brilliant Earth.
- Brilliant Earth claimed that their supply has been audited to prove that they are capable of tracing the diamond to the source.
- Brilliant Earth agrees to let audit firm takes question but cancelled suddenly at the last minute.
- investigation revealed the audit firm has no regulatory body monitoring and is a pay-to-play firm.
- Brilliant Earth decides to hire bunch of lawyers to file a lawsuit and launch a smear campaign to drag the guy's name through the mud instead of proving all the presented information as false.
