So far I tried: - restarting the game, - crafting another relic, by another blacksmith, ...So, have one question, say I got a rifle vs dual wielded pistols. AS is pretty much the same, but I'm seeing about twice as much shots from pistols than from the rifle. Do default attack weapon skills (Markovian's advantage and the like) have a chance to activate off every shot fired, i.e — is there a difference in activation chance between dual pistols and rifle with same AS? Or is it just two shots animation, but game actually calculates one attack? Thanks!
EDIT: oh, and, while we on topic, what about Cadence? Will it charge faster with DW vs 2H?
EDIT 2: never mind first edit, done a bit of training dummy torture, and yeah, cadence does charge faster it seems.

Ranged skeletons will try and shoot mobs through walls and other obstructions instead of finding a path to the mob that is free from obstructions...Just how much Defensive Ability is too much? Just took my first build through Bastion of Chaos (for some reason the char can't talk to the Master in Crucible) and it took for-fucking-ever with 2994 DA since it was a retaliation build.
First you cant see if you actual have cast it, no icon pop up that the buff are running on the pets.
And I can 100% tell that they dont get any healing from it.
I tested with the occultist skill blood of dreeg wich heal for alot less. This skill heals pets to full life the Necro skill dosnt move there hp bar at all.
So i guess the skill dosnt work. We need an icon also to see if its even there after been cast.
Since the expansion, myself and my friends are experiencing pretty major lag while trying to play over a private Internet game. Pre-patch, we never used to see *any* issues like this, and it's now basically unplayable.
I don't have any solid theories right now as to what may be going on. I mostly want to check and find out if anyone else is experiencing similar issues, or if it might be something on our end.. Some notes/ideas:
* There were three of us trying to connect and play. Anecdotally, it seemed like reducing to two players had a positive impact on performance.
* Changing who was hosting didn't seem to make any major difference.
* The "feel" of the lag felt very network-y. As though we all had really high ping and were seeing a lot of desync. This manifested with stuff like NPC dialogue taking a very long time to react, not being able to cast spells or hit enemies, and the other players teleporting across the screen.
* The game was running perfectly fine for each of us in single player sessions.
Again, I won't know whether it might be on our end. But everything was great before the expansion, and is *really* struggling now
Skeletons do not seem to attack unless the mobs are right next to you. This appears to be especially true of the ranged skeletons. Sometimes they don't attack at all. You can still command them to attack but if you aren't within range of the mob they just stand there.
That final level is utter brilliant art wise, equal parts disturbing as f*ck (almost giving Scorn a run for it's money) and creepy as hell with extra squick once you come to terms with the fact that everything your seeing was made of people.
And then there's the wombs...
Which is pretty much a "hold my beer" moment for all the other content and ties into why so many women were being basically kidnapped from Port Valbury and sent to Malmouth.
I've never had a core ability not work like this in the regular game, so hopefully this is an isolated incident and it won't become a common theme with the expansion.

Necromancer's skeletons(the range type) most of time you need to get close enough to start attacking while the melee skeletons are attaking more often.Fix Ranged Skeletons on auto attacking.

Is there a pet set for shaman/necro? i'm scouring grimtools but no luckMovement
Normally your char is in front with your summoned army running along behind you so anything you come across it's usually your squishy summoner that's the first in range. Using PA you can change this round so that your army is always running along in front of your char and thus the first to run into any mobs.
It can take a bit to get used to the rhythm but once you do it works really nicely.
When using PA on the ground your army runs to that spot, stops, turns round and runs straight back to your char.
So if you click on the ground in the direction you want to go with PA to get the summons running then quickly (to stop the summons running back) click MT at roughly the same spot and while your char is running there, repeat the PA further ahead and then MT at roughly the same spot and keep repeating the PA, MT, PA, MT, etc,etc you end up with your army constantly in front of your char.
Combat
PA has 2 modes of attack when in combat.
Using a single click of PA on a group of mobs and your army will attack the group and your summons will each select a target to attack, not sure if it's just the nearest mob to them or what, and they will keep attack that one until it's dead and then select another target and continue the attack.
The 2nd mode is to hold down PA on a specific enemy (boss, hero whatever) then every single summon will attack that one specific target ignoring everything else around them.

Hey, it is normal that I dont get all 55 Devotion points for my charakter, who has cleared all 59 Devotion Shrines in Vanilla? :confused:I know you probably get a lot of these but im in need of serious help. The wierdest thing has happened to me. I bought the game, ran it for about 20 minutes. I got off for about a couple of hours, came back at night and tried to run it and got black screen, and ocassionally would get the Crash reporter with the 3 files like mini dump, log, and whatnot. I did not change any settings inbetween the time i first played it and now. I then looked up problem on google/youtube and i have tried all of the following you would find on google and such:

Really anything that would pop up on the first 3 pages of google i tried! I am currently going to use MSI afterburner and try to reduce down to 100mhz or whatever as someone said worked for them. Ill report back and see if it fixes. Really have had no luck so far. Its just so strange to me, it worked at first, got off for a couple hours, come back to black screen and log crasher.

not sure how or why but its fixed my apologiesSo like many, i recently started an inquisitor. But i noticed that word of pain doesn't actually have ANY visuals other then the debuff you place on an enemy. This in my opinion looks really cheap and if you play a build with this skill, you are pretty much just waving at your enemies.
I don't expect that much from this skill, but some visual distortion, or some kind of "rune" placed over the enemies or on the ground as you cast the ability to have some visual indicator that you used that skill would be nice.

It's been awhile since we last played through the game but we were able to do so without so many dsync problems. Now it's common for the game to freeze for several seconds for the non-host player.
So far I've tried opening the port 27016 UDP & TPC in both windows firewall and in my router. The game's built in network test reports success yet we have these problems. We even tried opening the same ports on the other end and switching who was hosting but the problems persisted.
Could your soldier use an adventuring "buddy"? Then spec into one of the class's that give you summons. (occultist or the new necro)
Could you use more offense? Pick a class that gives you good magic attacks to go alongside your melee ones. (such as demo. for fire-based aoe-attacks)

Hey all, http://ift.tt/2zhkQBF Been out of the loop on theorycrafting. Any critiques on this build or should it serve me...This has caused me to miss the bonus times on more occasions than I can count. Is there a plan to fix this? It's extremely irritating and ruins a lot of the fun of the Crucible.

Please excuse my ignorance, been away from the game for a while. Is there a list of changes/additions that come with this expansion anywhere? TIAI grabbed this bounty from the witch camp, he's supposed to be in the mine north of the borrow something town. However, I've cleared the mine twice (even after logging out) and I still haven't found the crab.

Deadly Aim doesnt seem to show up on my character sheet, and when i am firing a pistol it also doesnt seem to trigger from what i can tell, any help?As far as I know Hand of Ultos is supposed to proc off any critical hits. I tried it on different skills (Storm totem, Wendigo Totem, Storm Tap) but I don't see any procs. Bugged or do I misunderstand the mechanics?

So with the expansion update, is there no cross-character item storage any more?I bought the extension and I encountered a problem of translation to the French language.
For example, when choosing the class, below Shaman, I have 2 interrogation points. Two for the new classes, because there is no translation.
If I click on the second that corresponds to the Necromancer.
I see the skill. But if I pass the mouse over a skill, I have:

In fact there are no translations made ...

List of my characters is too large to fit in this box.
What I am suggesting is a similar system like in GW2 where it will show in the tool-tip of an item whether the skin has been unlocked or not. Since skins are unlocked account-wide once the item is picked up, if the tooltip gives this information then we can choose to pick up accordingly.

It doesn't work. After applying Tremor in my skill tree, Forcewave still recharges for some reason.
EDIT: After resetting the game, it works. I don't know what caused it.

1. Mythical Peerless Eye of Beronath
Compared to the regular version it got 12 OA, 5% Elemental resist and more OA cut to the skill no one ever uses. To put it simply, an old amulet can roll better than the new one. Not mythical at all.
2. Conduit of Night Whispers
Though this one was intended to be used by Nightblades, there's not a single Prefix that strenghtens Nightblade's natural Pierce and Cold skills. Most of the modifiers transform those damage types into something.
3. Wildheart Vanguard set
I was very hopeful about this one as I have a toon that relies on it. The shoulders and belt alone were never BiS, but the regular set features a proc that greatly increases DPS, which made it worth having a set. Now, the mythical shoulders and belt have hardly improved stats, but the set lost it's great proc, and got some bleeding to Grasping vines. The bonuses are not comparable. There's simply no reason to have a mythical set. The Crusher wil lremain the only good item in it.
4. Mythical Mark of Divinity
The cooldown on a proc reduced from 120sec to.... 110sec, and the amount of heal from 10% to... 15%. That's actually ridiculous.
Those items need some work. I will probably find more of those later.
P.S. 80% of the new items are actually great

if u mainly use soldier has support then it can be anything of those listed up there...
The problem is that I have no idea on what to do after the campaign, and how to go about farming for the gear I need to make my build work (it's sadly quite gear dependant to change it from a physical build to an aether one). I know there's crucible but, it's not really my style. I like a change of scenery as I farm.

ps: this one is the last version, but i have made like more 5-6 variation for it, some are not even saved kek, but usually they use reckless instead of star pact (which i added for increase the DCR for a better use of the new devotions, bard and phoenix in first place).
The build stop at 85 for some reason, first, im more used to it for reading the "values", i know on spot that 1,7k DA is just "crap" and more likely im gonna get beat up with a critical shower , also, right now i cant get the expansion, so i just keep build like if there's no one
Btw, for some reason i don't like much the "change" made on Arcblade with 1.0.2, basically i lost damage due the lack of flat damage that was coming from IEE + reckless or star pact + arcblade & component (i suppose).
So in the end, i wanna see other pp options/opinion, likely, with the damage based only on Aether how you would handle it?
However, before stating options, has i said i did made more than 1 version...
1) Arcane shard of agrivix can convert fire > aether, we lose CDR, ofc gears are a little different, but usually fire % mod < less than Aether % mod so this can increase the damage a little, Also +skills to both.
2) double Albrecht's duality (kek) for ez 100% chaos > aether, used for remove the clairvoyant pieces from the build, on my own i did try with Iskandra, in this case we get the 16% physical res, but with the lack of physical flat damage (tnx 1.0.2 ) the purpose of some parts of it just "go waste", since we cant convert the residual "physical" in elemental.
Also better armor value than Clairvoyant.
3) depending on the situation i did try different relics, from deathchill to agrivix/oblivion or plunderer, all those do fine, however something is always lacking...
this one is based on the previous, i just swapped gears & augments, so ofc, a better work can be done, but we can see where it lacks, bleed & vitality there miss 30/40%... maybe just switching some devotion can do the trick?
So... again, without going out of the contest "arcanist+demo+arcblade" plot, any tips or combination i didn't already try? (keeping in mind that i cant access to the expansion gears :V).

Nothing has happened since then and I don't know if this is still on Crate's agenda for the game. Steam and GOG users are still forced to use the LAN mode via Tunngle or Hamachi in order to play with each other.
I still like to see cross-play support! Many GOG and Steam games already have some kind of cross-play implemented and with such a dedicated and active Grim Dawn community around it would help to bring a lot of players together and and deal with the frustrations of many GOG users who are unable to find other people to play with. Maybe Crate devs should get in touch with GOG again? I'm pretty sure things have also moved forward on their side.
On a side note: About a year ago one was unable to transfer a Steam save game to GOG versions of the game. It worked the other way around though. Is this still the case? If so I would really like to see a fix for this too!

If have a skill like Dual Blade that gives +% Pierce Damage, and a weapon with % Armor Piercing, does the buff occur after the Armor Piercing conversion?
Example:
Skill +10% Pierce Damage
Weapon 100 Base 30% Armor Piercing
No Buff
70 Physical, 30 Piercing
With Buff?
but ofc is no use when u cant find info about X and have to ask yourself ...
btw, i liek make builds more than playing them so at last im aware of the game mechanics (maybe some lack there and there :P), so maybe u will see me lurk harder on the build section mostly :P

I've said it before and I'll say it again, coloring MIs will never work because MIs can be yellow, green, blue, or purple currently depending on who drops them and what affixes they spawn with. You would lose so much information if they were changed to be all the same color.
I plan to start the expansion off with a Mage Hunter, based on cold and lightning damage. Mainly aiming for Rune of Hagarrad and Chilling Rounds / Storm Spread at this point.
Anyway, I'm quite lost when it comes to devotion points. Ultos, Shepherd of Storms seems really good to get, but even after staring at the devotion tree for a long time, I don't really know how to get there efficiently.
Is there an easy way to see how to meet certain affinity requirements? Any tips on how I get to Ultos constellation?

Hi I just started Grim Dawn again, have been taking a paus an waiting for the expansion. But the problem is all my charcters are gone, i really...Apologies if this has been asked already. I know that when the xpac lands tomorrow and illusions are introduced all existing items you have on your characters and inventory will automatically have their visuals added to your library, but I was wondering if I will need to load each character to get all of the items on them and in their inventory, or if it will just automatically grab all items on all of my characters account wide.

I'd really like to make a character that can dominate with 2h weapons. With the expansion coming I was thinking Ritualist could be good, but I have minimal experience with the game. I thought I'd see what more experienced people thought.
My roommate and I are very new to the game, so we're not super familiar with what skills synergize best with each other. With the expansion coming out tomorrow, we're thinking about making new characters. I'd like to make one with Necro as one of my masteries. I noticed they get some perks for using 2h weapons. I'm wondering if this would pair well with Shaman, who also gets some perks. I'm a big fan of 2h weapons, so it would be fun to make a combination that can really utilize them. Thanks in advance!
I know this isn't a very significant matter but being a controller focused player myself, I would extremely delighted to have a vibration synced with the screen shake as it will feel extremely satisfying.

10.10.17 and as life tends to be in the way of playing, only now tried using the loyalist pack, at least i can say i have a (sort of) life...
The going rate of base game is 24.99. 4 acts, 6 classes
Xpac 17.99 2 acts 2 classes. Seems steep to me. Compared to d3’s Necro pac (14.99) this is a steal and should be more but when compared to full game being only 7 dollars more it seems odd. Not sure if 14.99 would sound better? 9.99 makes more sense but I understand that low leaves little reward if any for the programmers.
Anyway what’s your thoughts to high, to low or right on the button?
Nope. A new blacksmith will craft the new legendaries but with new crafting materials. If you want Mythical Soulrend, Mythical Sharzul Worldeater and so on, you still need to farm them in Ultimate. Or trade with someone else.
