Help me build a chaos melee tank

Hello fellow forum users.

I have just completed the Perdition set while playing a pyromancer.

I would like to make a melee tank focusing on acid retalation (using 1h+shield).

I don't know where to start. Any other 1h+shield characters I made had a lot of trouble by the time I reached homestead (level 40 or so). In fact, I had a lot of trouble trying to take down the Herald of flame (conflagration) using melee. Always playing on veteran difficulty.

Any ideas would be welcome.

I guess I should focus on Solael's witchfire first + second rite first.

What should I get to have some AOE damage?

What about constellations/devotions?
