1080Ti Poor Performance

Hey all,

I recently came back to Grim Dawn after not playing since early access. I'm loving the game but the performance has been pretty poor for me. I'm running a monitor resolution of 3440x1440, 1080Ti overclocked to 2.1Ghz, a 7700K OC'd to 4.8Ghz, and nvidia driver version 382.53.

The main issue I'm seeing is poor framerate. When nothing's really going on, I'm getting 100 FPS but that can often tank to 40FPS when there's just a few enemies on screen. Now this wouldn't be an issue if GD was fully using my GPU and CPU, however, GPU sits at around 20% load and a core clock of 1560Mhz and my CPU sits at about 30% usage. The strange thing is in town the GPU core clock sits at ~ 1900Mhz. I'm not sure why, but whenever I venture out into the world and there's lots going on, the GPU never gets taxed above 20% and the core clock doesn't budge above 1560Mhz. I've also tried setting the Power Management Mode in the nvidia control panel to Prefer Maximum Performance but that doesn't change anything.

Has anyone run into this issue before? I know the game would run much better if it was utilizing the GPU properly.

Thanks!
